“Keene State College will honor five women for their contributions to gender equality in New Hampshire and beyond with the 28th annual Outstanding Women of New Hampshire Awards on March 5.

The awards are part of the college’s commemoration of Women’s History Month, a nationwide celebration each March. This year’s National Women’s History theme is “Nevertheless She Persisted: Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.”

This year’s honorees are U.S. Rep. Ann M. Kuster, D-N.H.; Jill Bassett, assistant dean of student affairs and retention at Franklin Pierce University; Patricia Pedroza Gonzalez, professor of women’s and gender studies at Keene State; and Puja Thapa and Benajil Rai, two Nepalese students studying at the college.”
