What an exciting week it’s been on the campaign trail! We continue to be amazed by the outpouring of support from people like you for our grassroots campaign, and we want to share with you some of the highlights of Annie’s week.
Celebrating New Hampshire Working Families
This Labor Day, Annie spoke at the AFL-CIO breakfast about the importance of standing up for the issues that matter to working Granite State families, and she marched in the Milford Labor Day parade to show her support for our workers.
At the breakfast, Annie shared with local labor leaders her commitment to creating more jobs and opportunity for Granite State residents. While in office, Annie has helped introduce legislation that would expand job training programs in the state so we can better prepare our children to enter the 21st Century workforce, and she’ll continue to make job creation her number one priority during her second term.
Making College More Affordable
On Tuesday, Annie met with community members to discuss the importance of lowering the cost of college for Granite State students and their families. Higher education is a gateway to success for many Granite Staters, and Annie is fighting every day in Congress to ensure that every New Hampshire student has equal access regardless of his or her background. Annie has cosponsored legislation in the House to help reduce student loan interest rates, and on Tuesday she renewed her pledge to never give up until college is more affordable for every Granite State family.
Meeting with Supporters
Annie stopped by field offices in Lebanon and Keene this week, as supporters gathered for office opening rallies. We were blown away by the energy, commitment, and excitement of the hundreds of volunteers who came out to show support for the causes Annie believes in this cycle – standing up for our middle class families, creating more jobs for Granite State workers, protecting Medicare and Social Security, and so much more.
And let me tell you – the excitement was contagious! Annie is so thankful for all of your support, and she can’t wait to keep traveling across the District to hear directly from you about the issues that matter to you this election season.
Thank you for all you do.
