50+ NH legislators Endorse Kuster for Congress

KUSTER FOR CONGRESS ENDORSED BY 50+ LEGISLATORS AT STATEHOUSE BREAKFAST

CONCORD, NH – In a sign of broad grassroots support across New Hampshire, more than fifty New Hampshire legislators and elected officials representing districts from Nashua to the North Country endorsed Second District congressional candidate Ann McLane Kuster today at a state house breakfast hosted by the campaign (full list below).

“I am grateful and proud to have such widespread support from so many elected officials and community leaders, and I am confident that with their help we can move our state and our country forward in next year’s election,” said Kuster.

“Ann McLane Kuster has deep ties across New Hampshire, and she has spent the last eight months building a true grassroots campaign town-by-town and living-room-by-living-room,” said Colin Van Ostern, Campaign Manager for Kuster for Congress.

Since declaring her plan to run for Congress last June, McLane Kuster has traveled throughout the district, speaking with activists and voters at dozens of events from Brookline to Milan while building her grassroots support throughout the district along the way.

“Traveling around the district this summer and fall, I have heard over and over again from voters that we need to move our country forward with an economy that works for all of us and not just a select few. I’m proud to stand with elected officials and community leaders across the state who are working hard to help jump-start our economy, pass real health care reform that controls costs, and get smarter about keeping Americans safe,” said Kuster.

Born and raised in Concord, Ann McLane Kuster has a long history as a community activist, author, public policy advocate, and attorney with deep roots in the Granite State. She worked with legislators and New Hampshire colleges to create the UNIQUE 529 College Savings Program to help families save for their children to attend college, and worked with a coalition of legislators and health care providers to create the Medication Bridge Program that distributes free medication to New Hampshire families and seniors who cannot afford the high cost of prescription drugs. Kuster has served as a board member or advisor to the NH Charitable Foundation, the Trust for Public Lands, Child and Family Services of New Hampshire, the United Way, and many other nonprofits and community groups in New Hampshire.
