Kuster inspects flood-repaired Manchester VA Medical Center
April 15, 2018
Manchester VA Medical Center Director Alfred Montoya speaks with U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster during a tour of repairs and upgrades to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Manchester on Friday. (THOMAS ROY/UNION LEADER)Montoya gave U.S. Rep. Annie Kuster, D-N.H., a progress report and a tour of the 61,000-square-foot complex that had to be refurbished after a burst pipe in a mechanical room on the top floor flooded several floors of the building last July 19.
Kuster said she was "concerned" when some deadlines for completion of work were missed, but she said the visit convinced her delays were justified by the challenges that were faced to repair this damage. ‘All things considered I would agree they have moved very quickly,’" Kuster said.
