Letter: Naive and inexperienced
For the Monitor
Having reviewed the positions and experience of Republican Marilinda Garcia and Democrat Annie Kuster, I urge you to vote for Kuster.
Garcia is a single 31-year-old who lives at home with her parents. She is an accomplished harpist and taught harp at a private school. She was home-schooled and then received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree. She served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. All of this is wonderful for her and her family.
However, you should also consider that as a representative, she missed 37 percent of the votes in the House. She has never held a year-round, full-time job. She is aligned with the politics of Sen. Ted Cruz and former House speaker Bill O’Brien. This is not the type of politician that I want in Congress.
I find Garcia to be naive and inexperienced.
Annie Kuster is a moderate who worked across party lines. She worked for several years in New Hampshire as an attorney, especially in the area of family law. She has missed less than 2 percent of votes in the House of Representatives. She understands family needs for good jobs, health insurance and education. I urge you to vote for her.
