(Concord, NH) - Today, Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) was endorsed by Planned Parenthood Action Fund in her campaign for re-election representing New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District. Planned Parenthood served nearly 11,000 people in New Hampshire last year with critical healthcare services. Kuster has been a champion for women’s reproductive rights and has worked to increase access to healthcare services in New Hampshire. Kuster was joined by Sabrina Dunlap, Vice President of Public Policy for Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund, and Shaye Weldon, who has used Planned Parenthood and spoke to the importance of Planned Parenthood in her life. Kuster’s opponent Steve Negron has an extreme position on women’s reproductive health care, opposing abortion even in the case of rape, incest, and the life of the mother.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of Planned Parenthood Action Fund this morning and stand against efforts to insert government into the most private healthcare decisions of women and their families,” said Kuster. “Planned Parenthood serves as a vital resource to women, men, and their families who are seeking reproductive and other health services in the Granite State and across the country. These are critical services, from cancer screenings and flu vaccinations to birth control prescriptions and general health care services. But still, extremist, ideological lawmakers in Congress and Concord continue to threaten resources for Planned Parenthood and the crucial services that thousands of people in New Hampshire rely on. I will continue to fight for women’s health services at the federal level and stand up against extremist partisans who want to interfere with the rights of women across the country to access the health services they need and deserve.”

“Congresswoman Annie Kuster has been a true ally to women and their families in New Hampshire and across the country,” said Dunlap. “This stands in stark contrast to Annie’s opponent Steve Negron, whose draconian positions on women’s health care put him well outside of the mainstream of people in our state. The choice for Granite State voters could not be more clear on November 6th and that’s why Planned Parenthood Action Fund is proud to endorse Annie Kuster for re-election.”
